How to Register:
Teams and Players must register online to be eligible to play.

Captains Role:
As the team captain you are agreeing to the playing rules and terms & conditions of the ADFL as set out below and on the website (http://adf.rsportz.com). It is the responsibility of the captain to be the primary contact for the team and all players involved. By allowing a player to register and take part in a match, you are confirming that the player is aware of, and will abide by these rules.

Constitutional Rules:
Each player is required to be a UAE resident to participate
Each player must submit a completed 'Player Waiver Form' before they play.

ID cards must be presented to match officials prior to match play
Teams may register up to 20 players. A maximum of 12 players per game may be used. All players must be named on the team sheet prior to kick off.

No player can be registered to more than one team or group at any one time.

Any team fielding an unregistered or suspended player will automatically lose the match 5-0 and receive a 3 point deduction. Players playing whilst suspended will have a further three match ban added to the end of their current suspension.

Each team must nominate a team captain.

Only amateur players are eligible to play.

Minimum age for Amateur Men is 18 years (born on or before 1-Jan-1995). .

Teams are asked to arrive 15 minutes prior to scheduled kick off times.


All fixtures are to be played unless adverse weather conditions make the pitches unplayable. Any decision to cancel a game can only be made by ADFL management. Postponements are not allowed, except in exceptional circumstances and at the discretion of ADFL management.

Playing Rules:
All matches are played under the FIFA rules and regulations with local league amendments detailed below.
Each game is officiated by a league official appointed by the league committee.

Team captains must produce a valid team sheet to the league official before every match. The match official will validate player ID cards prior to kick off.

Substitutions are unlimited during the game. They can only be made when the ball is dead and only with the referees consent. Outgoing substitutions must leave the field of play before the replacement enters the playing area. The oncoming players are active immediately and can receive the ball. Substitutes must stand outside the pitch perimeter and spectators must not enter the field of play under any circumstances.

All players must wear their team Jersey which must included the numbers printed on, or they may be penalized.

All players MUST wear shin pads. The wearing of any form of jewellery (including, without limitation, watches) is not permitted during play. Referees may refuse players entry to the field of play if these rules are breached.

Opposition players must be at least six metres from where any free-kick is taken. If opposing players do not retreat the required six metres, the kick may be moved forward three metres.
These league rules are not exhaustive and may be added to or amended at any time.


The referee’s decision on all on-field matters is final and no discussions will be entered into either on or off the field with him about any decision.

Any appeal related to a match dispute must be put in writing to the ADFL organisers within 48 hours of the match taking place. The technical committee consists of one member of the UAE FA, organiser and league committee. Their decision is final.

Competition Format:

Group 1 consists of 10 teams.
Group 2 consists of 10 teams.

Teams will be placed in the relevant divisions by ADFL management upon clarifying team registration details. .

Playing Format:

Group Stage:
The Group stage will consist of a double round robin, where each team will play twice against every team in their group. A total of 18 games will be played in the group stage, across 18 weeks.

Teams will receive 3 points for a win, 1 point for a draw and zero for a loss.

Group placing will be decided by points gained, followed by goal difference, followed by goals scored, followed by head-to-head result, followed by disciplinary points standing, followed by least red cards, followed by least yellow cards, followed by coin toss.

Knockout Stage:
At the end of the Group Stage, the top 4 teams from each group will progress into a playoff knockout stage. The 8 teams will compete in Quarter Finals, Semi Finals and Finals. If a playoff match ends in a draw it will progress directly to a penalty shootout; 3 penalties per team and if it is still a draw then sudden death penalties will take place.

Playing time: 2equal halves of 22 minutes with five minute interval at half-time. The first half will begin with one team taking a centre kick; the second half will begin with the other team taking the centre kick. Following a goal scored, the conceding team will restart the game by taking a centre kick.

In each division the team finishing with the most points at the end of the season is the division Champion.

Pitch Dimensions:- 58m x 40m
Goal Dimensions:- 5m x 2m

Disciplinary Rules:
Teams must be on the pitch and ready to begin the match at the appointed kick-off time. If a team has less than 5 players within 10 minutes of kick-off time, the match official will record a walk-over. A walk-over will count as a 3-0 loss for the team at fault. Any team conceding three walk-over per season will be automatically eliminated and suspended from participating in the subsequent season.

If a match has started and a team abandons the match before the match has finished the match will be awarded 5-0 to their opponents. If a team abandons more than one game during the season they will be automatically eliminated from the League.

If a team has a minimum of 5 players, they will be asked to start the game or concede a walk-over.

If a team is permanently reduced by 3 players the match will be awarded 5-0 to their opponents and they will be automatically deducted 3 points.

Any player receiving a red card will be suspended for a minimum of one match. In the case of serious foul play, and / or foul or abusive language, the suspension will be extended to two matches or longer should ADFL deem it necessary.

Teams will accrue penalty points for each booking and sending off as follows: yellow card = 1pt; red card (2 bookable offences) = 3pts; red card (straight red) = 5pts.

If a team accrues 30 penalty points they will be automatically deducted 3 points, and an additional 1 point for every 5 penalty points thereafter.
